REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Transmission Oil Cooler

 

Aluminum Core Radiator

Removal

  1. Remove the radiator outlet tank (8054) from the radiator (8005) as outlined.
  1. Remove the intermediate fittings, retaining nuts and washers from the transmission oil cooler (7A095) inlet and outlet connections. Then,lift the transmission oil cooler from the radiator outlet tank .
  1. Remove the rubber gaskets from the transmission oil cooler inlet and outlet connections if the transmission oil cooler is to be reused.
 

Installation

  1. Install new rubber gaskets on the transmission oil cooler inlet and outlet connections.
  1. Position the transmission oil cooler to the radiator outlet tank and insert the inlet and outlet connections through the holes in the radiator outlet tank .
  1. Install the flatwasher and nut on each transmission oil cooler connection to retain the transmission oil cooler in the radiator outlet tank .
  1. Tighten the transmission oil cooler retaining nuts to 12-15 Nm (9-11 lb-ft) and install the intermediate fittings in the transmission oil cooler fittings.
  1. Install the radiator outlet tank on the radiator core header as outlined under Radiator Tank Installation .
