This Pinpoint Test is intended to diagnose DTC P1260.
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1260 indicates that the passive anti-theft system (PATS) has determined a theft condition existed. When the PCM receives an anti-theft message from the PATS, the PCM disables fuel delivery on start-up. P1260 is a good indicator to check the PATS for DTCs. As a fail safe, fuel delivery is not disabled if the vehicle is operating and a system failure occurs.
