Activating the PANIC Alarm

NOTE: The panic feature is controlled by the electronic door lock control processor (14B001) . It is independent of the anti-theft system. Refer to Section 01-14B.

The PANIC alarm, operated from the remote keyless entry transmitter, is activated by following these procedures:

• Press button marked PANIC on the transmitter which will cause horns (13832) to sound.
• Low-beam headlamps (13008) and parking lamps (13200) and tail lamps will flash.

This subsystem can only be deactivated by pressing PANIC again or turning the ignition switch (11572) to the RUN or ACC position.
