DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the low coolant level system to duplicate the vehicle owner's concern.
  1. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Low coolant in recovery bottle
    • Circuitry open/shorted
    • Damaged low coolant sensor
    • Blown fuse

  1. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
