DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Inspection and Verification

  1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the Low Oil Level Warning System to duplicate the vehicle owner's concern.
  1. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Oil level low.
    • Damaged low oil level sensor .
    • Blown fuse.
    • Circuit loose, corroded, open, shorted.
    • Damaged low oil level relay .
    • Damaged bulb.

  1. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
