Clutch Pedal Position Switch

Removal and Installation

NOTE: When the battery (10653) is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal driving symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301).

2. Disconnect harness connector from clutch pedal position switch (CPP switch) (9A837) .

3. Disconnect locating tab lock.

4. Rotate clutch pedal position switch about 90 degrees clockwise and remove switch lock plate. Pry switch of clutch push rod by hand.

5. To install, reverse Removal procedure.

   NOTE: An audible "click" will be heard when the clutch pedal position switch is mounted properly onto the clutch push rod.
