Lap/Shoulder Safety Belts, Front and Rear Fastening Safety Belts

After entering vehicle, adjust the front seat to obtain the best position for driving comfort, access to controls and visibility. Use the following procedure for fastening safety belts.

NOTE: On convertible models, be sure the shoulder belt is routed through the belt guide on the seat back.

Pull the lap/shoulder safety belt from the retractor so that the shoulder portion of the belt crosses the shoulder and chest, and insert the belt tongue into the proper buckle until a snap is heard and a latch is felt.
