Outboard, Sedan

Removal and Installation

1. Remove rear seat cushion and rear seat back. Refer to Section 01-10.

2. Remove rear quarter trim panel (31012) .

3. Remove retractor anchor bolt.

4. Remove D-ring bolt.

5. Remove safety belt anchor-to-front floorpan bolt.

6. Remove rear seat shoulder belt retractor cover. Retain for installation on replacement rear safety belt retractor assembly.

7. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten anchor bolts to 30-40 Nm (23-29 lb-ft).

Outboard, Convertible

Removal and Installation

1. Remove rear seat cushion. Refer to Section 01-10.

2. Remove anchor bolt from front floor pan (11135) .

3. Remove luggage compartment forward trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05.

4. Remove safety belt retractor anchor-to-front floorpan bolt.

5. Remove safety belt anchor end through the seat back boot and remove safety belt assembly through luggage compartment.

6. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Ensure that locating tabs on safety belt webbing guide are located in holes in webbing guide bracket. Tighten attachments to 30-40 Nm (23-29 lb-ft).

Inboard

Removal and Installation

1. Remove rear seat cushion. Refer to Section 01-10.

2. Remove anchor nut and remove rear safety belt and buckle (60045) .

3. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten anchor nuts to 30-40 Nm (23-29 lb-ft).
