Inspection and Verification

1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the door lock control system from the keyless entry remote transmitter (15K601).

   NOTE: Observe interior lamps and anti-theft alarm indicator lamp while operating door lock control system.

   • Lock doors from keyless entry remote transmitter .
   • Unlock driver's door from keyless entry remote transmitter .
   • Unlock passenger door from keyless entry remote transmitter .
   • Unlock luggage compartment door (40110) from keyless entry remote transmitter .
   • Activate, and then deactivate personal security alarm from keyless entry remote transmitter .

2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
   
   

   Mechanical	Electrical
   Binding latch mechanism. Binding linkage. Misaligned door. Misaligned luggage compartment door .	Open fuse. Loose connectors. Corroded connectors.

   
   

3. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
