Component Tests

Door Lock Switch

Disconnect harnessing from front door lock switch (14017) using a self-powered test lamp or Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 007-00001 or equivalent, and test the front door lock switch .

Left Door Lock Switch

1. With the front door lock switch in the neutral position, check for continuity from Pins A to B and J to I (convertible) or A to B and L to K (coupe). Pin H (convertible) or Pin E (coupe) should be open to respective pins.

2. Press to lock (keeping it pressed), check for continuity from Pin H to B and J to I with Pin A open to all pins (convertible) or Pin E to B and L to K with Pin A open to all pins (coupe).

3. Press to unlock (keeping it pressed), check for continuity from Pin H to I and A to B with Pin J open to all pins (convertible) or Pin E to K and A to B with Pin L open to all pins (coupe).

4. If the left front door lock switch does not test as stated, replace front door lock switch .

Right Door Lock Switch

1. With the front door lock switch in the neutral position check for continuity from Pins A to G and H to B. Pin E should be open to all pins.

2. Press to lock (keeping it pressed), check for continuity from Pin E to G and H to B with Pin A open to all pins.

3. Press to unlock (keeping it pressed), check for continuity from Pin E to B and A to G with Pin H open to all pins.

4. If the right front door lock switch does not test as stated, replace front door lock switch .
