The door lock system consists of:

• Front door latch remote control and link (21818).
• Front door latch (21812).
• Door latch control rod knob (21850).
• Door handle (22404) and front door latch actuating rod (22152) .
• Door lock cylinder and control rod.
• Door latch striker plate (22008).

The front door (20124) can be opened by either:

• The front door latch remote control and link on the front door trim panel (23942) .
• The door handle . The front door latch remote control and link is connected to the front door latch by a cable.

The door handle is connected to the front door latch by a front door latch actuating rod .

The front door can be locked by:

• Pushing down on the door latch control rod knob which is connected to the front door latch with a front door latch actuating rod .
• Using the door lock cylinder.

The front door can be unlocked by:

• Pulling on the front door latch remote control and link .
• Using the door lock cylinder (21985) .

The front door latch closes over the door latch striker plate to keep the front door closed. The door latch striker plate is adjustable up and down and in and out.
