Power Distribution Box

Removal and Installation

 WARNING: ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY (10653) BEFORE SERVICING HIGH-CURRENT FUSES IN POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX.

NOTE: Power distribution box is part of power distribution box and harness (14516) wiring assembly.

1. Remove battery ground cable (14301) from negative battery terminal.

2. Remove two relays attached to front of power distribution box and harness .

3. Disconnect all wiring harness connectors with takeouts coming from power distribution box and harness . This includes:
   • The 10-way to main wiring (14401) assembly.
   • One-way connections to crankshaft pulley retaining bolt (6A345) .
   • Four-way and one-way connectors to air suspension pressure switch jumper wiring (14B101) assembly.
   • Four-way and three-way connectors to engine control sensor wiring (12A581) assembly.

4. Remove two hex nuts retaining power distribution box and harness to sheet metal and remove power distribution box and harness .

5. To install, reverse Removal procedures.
