Courtesy Lamp Switch

Removal

1. Unscrew the hex sleeve nut from the pillar.

    CAUTION: Retention of courtesy lamp switch (13713) to the wiring connector is by one of three tabs positioned 120 degrees apart on the courtesy lamp switch . If, when the courtesy lamp switch is disconnected from the wiring connector, the engaged locking tab breaks off, the courtesy lamp switch must be rotated 120 degrees to engage a new tab. When all three tabs have been broken, the courtesy lamp switch must be replaced.

2. Extract the courtesy lamp switch and pull the wiring connector of the courtesy lamp switch .

Installation

1. To install the courtesy lamp switch in the pillar, pull the wiring connector and wiring through the switch mounting hole in the pillar.

2. Connect the courtesy lamp switch to the connector.

3. Twist wiring and courtesy lamp switch four turns counterclockwise.

4. Push the wiring and connector back through the mounting hole and screw the courtesy lamp switch into the pillar until it is seated.

5. Close and open door (405A26) to ensure the courtesy lamp is operating properly.
