DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Inspection and Verification—Illuminated Entry

  1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the Illuminated Entry System to duplicate the concern.
  1. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Outside door handle .
    • Fuses blown/open.
    • Circuitry open/shorted.
    • Damaged illuminating entry actuator .

  1. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
