DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Inspection and Verification—Courtesy Lamps

  1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the interior lamps (13776) to duplicate the concern.
  1. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Damaged lamps.
    • Damaged switches.
    • Stuck switches.
    • Open fuses.
    • Damaged bulbs.
    • Circuitry open/shorted.
    • Connectors damaged/corroded.

  1. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
