Removal and Installation

1. Open luggage compartment door (40110) and remove luggage compartment rear trim panel to gain access to rear lamp (13404) retaining nuts.

2. Remove three nuts retaining rear lamp to body.

3. Disconnect connector to rear lamp .

4. Disengage wiring grommet from body and remove rear lamp from body while guiding harness through hole in rear panel.

5. To install, reverse Removal procedure.

Bulb, Tail Lamp

Removal and Installation

Two types of bulb sockets are used for the rear lamp bulbs:

• Standard plastic socket.
• Three-tab type.

To remove the plastic socket assembly, turn the socket counterclockwise to the stop and remove the socket.

To install, index the smallest tap for locating the socket and rotate the socket clockwise to the stop.
