REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Radio Chassis

 

Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301) .
  1. Install Radio Removing Tool T87P-19061-A into radio face plate or compact disc face plate. Push tools in approximately 25.4mm (1 inch) to release retaining clips.

     CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when installing radio removal tool, as this will damage retaining clips, making radio chassis or compact disc removal difficult.

  1. Apply a slight spreading force on tools and pull radio chassis (18806) or digital audio compact disc player (18D806) from instrument panel (04320) .
  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the stereo tape cartridge container (19A089) or digital audio compact disc player .
 

Installation

  1. Connect wiring connectors.
  1. Slide radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player into instrument panel ensuring that rear bracket is engaged on support rail.
  1. Push radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player inward until retaining clips are fully engaged.
  1. Connect battery ground cable . Check for proper operation of radio chassis or digital audio compact disc player .
