REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Instrument Cluster

 

Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301).
  1. Remove light switch knob (11666).
  1. Remove two upper retaining screws from the instrument cluster bezel. Remove the instrument cluster bezel.
  1. Remove four retaining screws from instrument cluster panel (042A82).
  1. Pull the instrument cluster (10849) away from the instrument panel (04320) . Disconnect the two cluster printed circuit connectors from their receptacles in the instrument cluster back plate (10848).
  1. Remove instrument cluster.

     CAUTION: If gauges are being removed from the cluster assembly, do not remove the gauge pointer: magnetic gauges cannot be recalibrated.

 

Installation

  1. Connect the two cluster printed circuit connectors to their receptacles in the instrument cluster back plate.
  1. Position the instrument cluster to the instrument panel . Install the four retaining screws.
  1. Install instrument cluster bezel. Install two upper retaining screws to instrument cluster bezel cover.
  1. Install light switch knob.
  1. Connect battery ground cable.
