REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Defroster Ducts

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove instrument panel (04320) and lay it back against front seat. Refer to Section 01-12.
  1. Remove one screw attaching windshield defroster hose nozzle (18490) to heater air plenum chamber (18471) .
  1. Remove three screws attaching windshield defroster hose nozzle to the instrument panel . Disconnect A/C side window demister and hose (19E630) from each end of windshield defroster hose nozzle and remove windshield defroster hose nozzle .
  1. Remove the two instrument panel retaining screws from each A/C side window demister and hose . Remove the A/C side window demister and hoses .
  1. To remove RH or LH A/C evaporator register ducts (19B680) , remove two screws attaching A/C evaporator register duct to the top of the instrument panel reinforcement.
  1. To remove heater air plenum chamber , remove RH A/C evaporator register duct . Remove heater air plenum chamber from instrument panel .
  1. For installation, reverse Removal procedures.
