REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Shift Knob and Bezel

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove shift knob by pressing detent button and holding while pulling up firmly on shift knob. Use caution so as not to lose button and spring.
  1. Remove console top panel. Refer to Section 01-12.
  1. Remove indicator bezel retaining screws. Lift bezel and disconnect indicator miniature bulb (13466) . Lift bezel off over shift lever.
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Fully seat the shift knob by gently installing with a rubber mallet.
  1. Check the shifter for proper operation, ensuring the shifter locks in PARK and OVERDRIVE positions.
