Bearing Retainers

Replace bearing covers that are grooved or showing wear from the thrust or adjacent bearings. Check the oil return threads in the bearing covers. If the sealing action of the threads has been destroyed by contact from the input shaft (7017) or output and fifth gear drive shaft (7061) , replace the covers.
