DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Inspection And Verification

  1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the anti-lock brakes to duplicate the vehicle owner's concern.
  1. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply.

    Mechanical Electrical
    • Low brake fluid.
    • Damaged front brake anti-lock sensor indicator / rear brake anti-lock sensor .
    • Damaged front brake anti-lock sensor / rear brake anti-lock sensor indicator .
    • Damaged brake lines.
    • Damaged wheel bearings.
    • Blown fuse(s):
      • 10A ELECTRON IGN
      • 15A STOP LAMP
      • 10A METER
    • Blown anti-lock indicator lamp bulb.
    • Damaged wiring harness.
    • Loose or corroded connection.

  1. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
