REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301).
  1. On 5.0L engines, remove the idle air control valve as outlined.
  1. Disconnect throttle position sensor (TP sensor) (9B989) from fuel charging wiring (9D930).
  1. Remove two throttle position sensor retaining screws.
  1. Remove throttle position sensor.
  1. To install throttle position sensor, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten retaining screws to 2.8-3.8 Nm (25-34 lb-in).
