REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301) .
  1. Remove RH cowl side trim panel (02344) to expose powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) .
  1. Loosen engine control sensor wiring to PCM connector retainer bolt.
  1. Remove lower powertrain control module bracket retaining screw.
  1. Remove engine control sensor wiring connector from PCM .
  1. Remove PCM from powertrain control module bracket (PCM bracket) (12A659) by pulling powertrain control module downward.
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten bracket retaining screw to 2.7-3.7 Nm (24-32 lb-in). Tighten engine control sensor wiring connector retainer bolt to 3.7 Nm (32 lb-in).
