DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
The throttle position sensor (TP sensor) (9B989):
Is a potentiometer.
Provides a signal to the powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) which is directly proportional to the throttle plate position.
Is mounted to the throttle body (9E926) and engages the throttle plate shaft.
