EGR Valve to Exhaust Manifold Tube

 

Removal and Installation

  1. On 3.8L engines, remove suction accumulator/drier (19C836) as outlined in Section 12-03A.
  1. On DPFE solenoid equipped vehicles, disconnect EGR vacuum control valve hoses (9P761) from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube (9D477).
  1. Remove mounting bracket and EGR pressure valve sensor (9J460) as an assembly from upper intake manifold (9424) and throttle body (9E926) .
  1. Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube at EGR valve (EGR valve) (9D475) and exhaust manifold (9430) .
  1. Remove EGR valve tube to manifold connector (9F485) from exhaust manifold if required.
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube to EGR valve and exhaust manifold to 41 Nm (30 lb-ft).
