Removal and Installation

NOTE: Refer to the Spark Plug Inspection Chart to determine the condition of the spark plugs (12405) .

1. Remove ignition wires as outlined.

2. Loosen spark plugs a 1/4 turn and remove all dirt or foreign material from spark plug areas of cylinder head (6049) with compressed air.

3. Remove spark plugs .

4. To install, reverse Removal procedures. Check and adjust spark plug gap as outlined. Tighten spark plugs to 9-20 Nm (7-15 lb-ft).
