Camshaft Rear Bearing Bore Plug

 

Removal

  1. Remove the transmission and converter housing. Refer to the applicable section in Group 07.
  1. Remove the flywheel retaining bolts and remove the flywheel (6375) . Remove the engine rear plate (7007) .
  1. Remove the camshaft rear bearing cover (6266) as outlined under Camshaft Rear Bearing Cover in Section 03-00.
 

Installation

  1. Install the camshaft rear bearing cover using Perfect Seal Sealing Compound B5A-19554-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M18P2-A and ESE-M4G115-A). Refer to Section 03-00.
  1. Coat the flywheel retaining bolts with oil resistant Pipe Sealant with Teflon® D8AZ-19554-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G350-AZ and ESR-M18P7-A. Position the engine rear plate on the cylinder block dowels. Position the flywheel on the crankshaft flange. Install and tighten the retaining bolts in sequence (across from each other) to 102-115 Nm (75-85 lb-ft).
  1. Install the transmission and converter housing. Refer to the applicable section in Group 07.
