The front seat back latch (62648) is modular so it does not require customer or dealer adjustments or maintenance. Do not lubricate the front seat back latch . Lubricating the front seat back latch will adversely affect free rotation of the locking cams.

The only authorized service permitted on the inertia and manual latch mechanism is the following:

• Installation of all retaining screws as required.
• Replacement (in entirety) of a damaged or nonfunctional front seat back latch .
• Removal of any foreign material, such as tie straps, pieces of foam and trim.
