Fuse

 WARNING: IN THE EVENT THAT THE AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC MONITOR MUST DISARM THE AIR BAG SYSTEM TO PREVENT INADVERTENT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, IT WILL BLOW THE 10A AIR BAG BATTERY FEED FUSE (FUSE 4). REFER TO SECTION 01-20B FOR SERVICING OF THE AIR BAG SYSTEM BEFORE REPLACING THE AIR BAG FUSE.

Removal

Because the fuse is cartridge-type, it must be removed to inspect for an open condition.

When replacing a fuse, install only a cartridge-type with the same rating as that removed. To remove cartridge fuse, grip and pull straight out of fuse holder (14411) . If fuse cannot be gripped, a non-metallic tool can be used to pull fuse out of fuse holder .

Installation

 CAUTION: Never install a replacement fuse with a higher or lower amperage rating than indicated for circuit.

To install fuse, align terminals with fuse holder and push into position.
