Removal and Installation

1. Loosen the yoke locking nut and steering gear housing end cover to relieve the preload on the steering gear sector shaft (3575) .

2. Remove sector shaft support yoke.

3. Install pinion shaft torque adapter T74P-3504-R. Hold power steering gear input shaft and control (3D517) to remove the pinion bearing locknut with an 11/16-inch socket. Discard locknut.

4. Pry the power steering pump rotor shaft oil seal (3B592) out of valve housing with a small sharp chisel.

5. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
