Steering Column Bearing

When checking steering wheel (3600) free play, also check for radial play or wobble between the steering wheel and steering column tube (3514) . Any free play detected reflects wear in the steering column tube bearing (3517) and can add to apparent free play. Refer to Section 11-04 for steering column tube repair procedures.
