Identification

The power steering pump (3A674) has a service identification tag to identify assemblies for service purposes.

The identification tag is located on reservoir body and contains information as shown.

Power Steering Pump

The Ford Model CII power steering pump is a belt-driven, 10-slipper type pump with a fiberglass-filled nylon power steering oil reservoir (3A697) . The power steering oil reservoir is retained to the rear side of the aluminum power steering pump housing (3A643) , and the pump body is encased within the power steering pump housing and power steering oil reservoir . The power steering pump design incorporates a pump pressure fitting which allows the power steering pressure hose (3A719) to swivel. This is normal and does not indicate a loose fitting.
