Brake Pressure Control Valve

The brake pressure control valve (2B091) assembly contains a proportioning valve and a shuttle valve in an aluminum body.

The proportioning valve:

• Regulates hydraulic pressure in rear brake system.
• Located between the rear brake systems inlet and outlet ports in the brake pressure control valve.
• When brake pedal (2455) is applied, full brake fluid pressure passes through proportioning valve to the rear brake system until the valves split point is reached.
• Above the split point, the proportioning valve begins to reduce hydraulic pressure to rear brakes, creating a balanced braking condition between front and rear wheels to minimize rear wheel lockup during hard braking.
