REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Cable and Conduit, Rear

 

Removal

  1. Place parking brake control (2780) in the release position and release cable tension as outlined under Adjustments.
  1. Raise vehicle. Refer to Section 00-02.
  1. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit (2A635) from rear disc brake caliper (2552) .
  1. Remove parking brake cable brackets (2530) from rear suspension lower arm (5A649) .
  1. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit from the parking brake cable and equalizer (2A603) .
  1. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit from brake hose clip (2860) .
  1. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduit from vehicle.

    B Tighten to 14-21 Nm (10-16 Lb-Ft)
 

Installation

  1. Install rear parking brake rear cable and conduit in tunnel.
  1. Attach parking brake rear cable and conduit to brake hose clip .
  1. Attach parking brake rear cables and conduit ends to parking brake rear cable and conduit .
  1. Attach parking brake cable brackets to rear suspension lower arm .
  1. Route parking brake rear cable and conduits through parking brake cable bracket .
  1. Attach parking brake rear cable and conduit to rear parking brake cable (2A637) on rear disc brake caliper .
  1. Install retaining clips on rear disc brake calipers .
