The brakes use pin slider-type front disc brake caliper (2B120)
assemblies with a 276mm (10.9 inch) full cast front disc brake rotor (1125)
.
The front disc brake caliper

The front disc brake caliper
slides on lubricated disc brake caliper locating pins (2B296)
that are sealed from the elements by rubber
boots.
The disc brake caliper locating pins
are attached to the caliper housing by two
pinch bolts.
Vehicles are equipped with galvanized steel disc brake front disc brake rotor shields (2K005)
.
Front disc brake rotor shields are attached to the front wheel spindle
with three pop-rivets per side and are not
interchangeable side-to-side.
The brake shoes and linings (2001)
are fully interchangeable and slide into the
caliper anchor bracket assembly.
The brake shoes and linings
use a single purpose clip which holds the brake shoes and linings
against the anchor bracket to prevent brake
shoe rattles.
