  • Tires Show Excess Wear in Center of Tread
  • Tires over-inflated.
  • Tire/wheel condition out of specification.
  • Adjust air pressure in tires.
  • Other Excessive Wear Problems
  • Improper tire pressure.
  • Adjust air pressure in tires.
 
  • Incorrect tire/wheel usage.
  • Install correct tire and wheel combination.
 
  • Loose or leaking rear shock absorbers .
 
  • Front end out of alignment.
 
  • Loose, worn or damaged suspension components, bushings and ball joints.
  • Inspect, service or replace as required.
 
  • Wheels and tires out of balance.
  • Balance wheels and tires.
 
  • Excessive lateral or radial runout of wheel or tire.
  • Check, service or replace as required. Use dial indicator to accurately determine runout.
  • Tire/wheel condition out of specification.
 
  • Tires need rotating.
  • Rotate tires.
  • Wheel Mounting is Difficult
  • Improper application or mismatched parts, including studs and nuts.
  • Follow manufacturer's specifications.
 
  • Corroded, worn or damaged parts.
  • Clean or replace.
  • Wheel Rust or Corrosion
  • Poor maintenance.
  • Keep clean and protect with paint.
  • Wobble or Shimmy Affecting Wheel Runout
  • Damaged wheel (eventually damaged front wheel bearings and uneven tire wear).
  • Inspect wheel rims for dents. Service or replace as required.
  • Excessive Vehicle Vibration, Rough Steering or Severe Tire Wear
  • Loose or improper attaching parts.
 
 
  • Overloading or unbalanced loads.
  • Tighten or replace.
