CAUTION: The starter drive (11350)
is packed with grease and sealed, and should not be washed in solvent.
Examine gears, spline on output shaft (11355)
, and drive pinion for chipped, broken or worn
conditions. Replace if required.
Inspect the entire circumference of the ring gear for damage when the
starter drive gear teeth are damaged. The flywheel ring gear pattern will
usually be found in two places around the ring gear. If the starter drive gear
or ring gear show signs of excessive wear or milling, they must be replaced.
