DIAGNOSIS
Inspection and Verification
Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the engine to duplicate the condition.
Inspect to determine if any of the following mechanical concerns apply:
Drive belt cracking/chunking/wear.
Drive belt noise or squeal.
Pulley misalignment or excessive pulley runout.
If concern(s) remain after the inspection, determine the symptoms and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
