Cushion Cover and Pad, Front Seat

Removal

1. Remove the seat assembly as outlined. Place the seat on a clean surface.

2. Remove the front seat track (61705) from the front seat cushion frame and spring (63100) as outlined.

3. Remove the front seat back latch lower cover (62768) .

4. Disconnect the front seat adjusting motor drive tube (618B62) at the joint located on the inboard side near the seat back hinge, if so equipped.

5. Remove the screws retaining the front seat back frame (61018) to the front seat cushion frame and spring .
   
   
   
   

6. On GT and Cobra models, remove front seat back latch handle (62622) .

7. Remove the seat back control switch and housing (14C715) as outlined.

8. Disconnect electrical connectors and front seat back pad adjusting tube (65512) from seat back control switch and housing .

9. Disengage the J-retainers from the front seat cushion frame and spring . Remove the front seat cushion cover and pad assembly.
   
   
   
   

Installation

1. Position the front seat cushion pad (632A22) and cover to the front seat cushion frame and spring .

2. Secure the front seat cushion cover (62900) and pad to the front seat cushion frame and spring by locking plastic J-retainers.

3. Install the front seat back latch handle knob (62762) .

4. Install the seat back control switch and housing (except Cobra).

5. Install the seat back to the front seat cushion frame and spring . Tighten the inboard pivot screw to 19-27 Nm (15-19 lb-ft). Tighten the two outboard retaining screws to 47-63 Nm (35-46 lb-ft). Connect the front seat adjusting motor drive tube .

6. Install the seat back latch/lower cover.

7. Install the front seat track to the front seat cushion frame and spring as outlined.

8. Install the seat assembly as outlined.

9. Check the front seat tracks and front safety belt for proper operation.
