DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
Inspection and Verification
Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the rear view mirrors to duplicate the concern.
Select LH mirror.
Command mirror up, down, left and right.
Select RH mirror.
Command mirror up, down, left and right.
Open driver's door.
Check inside rear view mirror courtesy lamps if equipped. Refer to
Section 17-02
for courtesy lamp service procedures.
Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
Mechanical
Electrical
Broken mirror glass.
Open instrument panel fuse
Fuse 8 (15A)
Open connectors.
Corroded connectors.
If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following Symptom Chart.
