REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Hinge, Luggage Compartment Door

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Remove luggage compartment door (40110) as outlined.
  1. Remove sealer around luggage compartment door hinges (42700) as necessary.
  1. Mark locations of luggage compartment door hinges on body.
  1. Remove nuts retaining luggage compartment door hinges to body.
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Align luggage compartment door as outlined. Tighten hinge retaining nuts to 5.0-8.5 Nm (4-6 lb-ft).
  1. Seal hinge area using Flowable Air Dry Paintable Caulk ESB-M4G24-A or equivalent. Allow ample time to dry.
  1. Touch up paint over caulk as necessary.
