Removal and Installation

1. Support the front door (20124) using Rotunda Door Rack 103-00027 or equivalent.

2. Remove hinge retaining bolts from front door. Remove front door.

3. Disconnect any wiring harness connectors.

4. If front door is to be replaced, transfer the following parts to new front door:
   • Front door trim panel (23942) and watershield.
   • Door lock and front door latch (21812).
   • Window regulator equalizer arm bracket (23230) and door glass.
   • Front door weatherstrips (20530).
   • Wiring harnesses.

5. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Align front door as outlined. Tighten hinge bolts to 25-35 Nm (18-26 lb-ft).

Wedge Striker Plate

1. Remove quarter trim panel (31012). Refer to Section 01-05.

2. Remove two striker plate retaining nuts. Remove strike plate.

3. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten nuts to 5.5-8.3 Nm (48-72 lb-in).

Wedge

1. Remove two bolts retaining wedge to front door . Remove wedge.

2. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten bolts to 8.5-11.5 Nm (72-96 lb-in).
