REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Hood Support Rod

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Open hood (16612) and temporarily support hood in open position with a substitute rod.
  1. Remove support from stowed position.
  1. Remove the bolt that attaches the support rod mounting bracket to the radiator support (16138) .
  1. Remove rod and bracket.
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten bolt to 10.2-13.8 Nm (8-10 lb-ft).
