REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Hood Safety Latch

 

Removal and Installation

  1. Open hood (16612). Remove two bolts retaining hood latch (16700) to upper radiator support (16138) .
  1. Remove hood latch control clip (16907) .
  1. Disengage cable loop and bushing away from hood latch .
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Adjust hood latch as outlined under Adjustments. Tighten bolts to 9-14 Nm (7-10 lb-ft). Lubricate hood latch.
