1 Use ESP-M2C154-A (XY-90-QL) or equivalent plus 4 ounces of EST-M2C118-A (C8AZ-19B546-A) friction modifier or equivalent.

2 Rear axle lube quantities must be replaced every 160,000 km (100,000 miles) or if the axle has been submerged in water. Otherwise, the lube should not be checked or changed unless a leak is suspected or service required.

1 5.0L engines have two oil drain plugs. Both must be removed to ensure proper oil drain.
2 Service refill capacities are determined by filling the rear axle 1/4 inch 9/16 inch (6.4mm to 14.2mm) below bottom of filler hole.
3 Rear axle lube quantities must be replaced every 160,000 km (100,000 miles) or if axle has been submerged in water. Otherwise, the lube should not be checked or changed unless a leak is suspected or service required.
4 Add 118 ml (4 oz.) Friction Modifier C8AZ-19B546-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification EST-M2C118-A for Traction-Lok equipped vehicles.
