Panel-Defrost Door

Removal

1. Remove A/C plenum chamber duct as outlined.

2. Move panel-defrost door from door crank using a screwdriver to disengage locking tab from shaft. Pull door from crank.

3. To replace door crank, remove spring nut retaining crank to vacuum motor arm. Disengage vacuum motor arm from door crank. Remove crank from plenum chamber.

Installation

1. Place door crank in plenum chamber duct. Place flatwasher on crank end of shaft, then the vacuum motor arm. Install a new spring nut (383358-S) to retain vacuum motor arm on door crank.

2. Position A/C defrost door on crank so door is on same side of crank as vacuum motor. Push door on shaft, engaging locking tab with shaft.

3. Install plenum chamber duct.
