REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Sensor, RH/LH Front
Removal
WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT NECESSARY FOR SYSTEM DEPLOYMENT IS POWERED
DIRECTLY FROM THE BATTERY. TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL
INJURY, THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE MUST BE DISCONNECTED PRIOR TO SERVICING OR
REPLACING ANY SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
NOTE: To service stripped outboard sensor retaining screws, replace the sensor
bracket with bracket Part No. 14B190 RH, 14B191 LH, screw Part No. N806327-S190
(2 req'd) and nut Part No W620397-S36 (2 req'd). Tighten to 9-14 Nm
(7-10 lb-ft).
- Disconnect positive battery cable.
- Remove air cleaner assembly RH side or battery LH side.
- Disconnect RH/LH front sensor electrical connector and wiring retainer.

- Remove sensor support bracket.
- Remove four retaining screws and remove sensor.
Installation
- Position RH/LH front sensor and wire lead in vehicle and secure sensor to
RH/LH radiator support with four retaining screws.
- Install sensor support bracket.
- Connect RH/LH front sensor wire lead connector to wiring assembly connector
and connect wiring retainers.
- Install air cleaner assembly RH side or battery LH side.
- Connect positive battery cable.
- Verify air bag indicator.
