ADJUSTMENTS

Sun Roof, Manual—Removable

NOTE: Vinyl shims are assembly aids and are not required if re-adjustment is necessary. Re-tighten set screws. To increase operating efforts and lower rear of glass, follow preceding procedure, except move adjusters toward glass.

After the glass panel is installed, the latching mechanism can be adjusted to obtain proper fit and operating efforts. Adjustment is accomplished by moving the latch sleeves up or down and locking them in place with the setscrews. To lower operating efforts and raise rear of glass, loosen setscrews on adjuster assemblies. Cut off vinyl shims sandwiched between retainer and adjuster and move adjusters away from glass.

The latch bracket that is attached to the roof panel can be adjusted fore-and-aft by removing the plastic cover and then the 6.35mm (1/4-inch) nuts. This adjustment should be done with the latch handle attached. Actuate the latch handle to the closed position and tighten the nuts. This procedure will position the bracket in its optimum position.

The front of the glass assembly may be adjusted up and down by loosening screw on hinge bracket and moving hinge blade.

The hinges may be adjusted fore-and-aft by loosening the retaining screws at the center of each hinge assembly.
