Hinge Socket Replacement

In order to replace the front hinge sockets, it is necessary to lower the headlining for access. The headliner is lowered by removing the weatherstrip around the opening and the latch cover. Remove headliner retainer strip from around the opening. Parts can then be removed and replaced in the normal manner (two retaining screws). The sockets are RH and LH and cannot be interchanged. Before tightening retaining screws, install glass assembly and check fit. Remove glass assembly and adjust hinge sockets up or down as required and tighten retaining screws.
